Need of Team Work and Team Spirit for God's Work

Need of Team Work and Team Spirit for God's Work

1) Great and Lasting Works can be done only through Team work

History of the mankind has proved that, to continue a particular work began by a particular person a team consisting of committed people is necessary

Whenever there a team, work can be done in a more meticulous way and with greater efficiency

Whenever there is team to do the work, the chances of sustainability of the work is greater.

2) Jesus began His ministry with a team

The first thing Jesus did to begin His ministry was to form a team. 

He called 12 and wanted to have a  beautiful team to continue the mission of the Kingdom of God. 

With the team Jesus starts His ministry of proclaiming the Good News of the Kingdom of God. 

3) The Extended team of Jesus

The Gospel of the day gives us the glimpse of a extened or a larger team of Jesus 

Jesus began with 12. But today's Gospel gives us the names of larger group. Their identity is given below 

12 disciples

Some women 

Mary, called Magdalene

Joanna, the wife of Herod's steward Chuza,

Susanna, and many others

The extended team had all types of people; Men, women, and those who were healed and others too. 

4) Spirit of team work depends on the good work 

Even though Jesus had called only 12, many more joined team without invitation. 

Many voluntarily joined the group. This is because something good and great things were happening with the team of Jesus

Women who had been cured of evil spirits and infirmities  these joined because something great happened in their life 

With their addition the team became strong. 

5) Real team spirit consists not in receiving but in giving

We see this team voluntarily coming and offering their mite for the spread of the good news. 

Mary called Magdalene, Joanna, Susanna and many others who provided for them out of their resources

So here is a team who works for Jesus to spread the Good News of the Kingdom of God. 

This is a Wonderful team. 

6) Do I believe in Team work and Team Spirit

Some people believe in One Man Show. Everything has to be done by them 

They also firmly believe ‘Without me nothing can happen’  ‘Only I can do this, others can't’

Some are frightened about the team work and team spirit, because it threatens their popularity and Ego

With such kinds of persons, team work does not work and such person does not believe in team spirit

Which category do I belong? 

To the category of team work and team Spirit? 

Or *One man Show?*

*Like Jesus and being the followers of Jesus we are supposed to follow the team work and team spirit model*

*Just think about this*
