*Do I consider my eyes and ears are Blessed?👁️👂*

*1) Jesus says our eyes and ears are Blessed*

*First of all* our eyes and ears are blessed because they are functioning. It means our eyes have sight and ears have the capacity to hear 

There are many people who have problem with sight and capacity to hear 

*Secondly* we are have better chances to see greater things and to hear greater things than ever

Many people and prophets could not see and hear what we are seeing and hearing. This can be understood in the following way 

Today we are able to see Jesus in the Eucharist, in the blessed sacrament, which those people could not see 

Today we see and experience the Sacred Scriptures, in our own mother tongues 

Today we see many holy and pilgrem places where we can experience Jesus 

Today we see many people who are bearing witness to Christ, in spite of the persecution and threat of life 

Today we have a greater chances of hearing the word of God, through sermons, through media and through our parents and teachers 

So we have many more chances to use our eyes and ears in a different way, which makes us to live a holy and genuine life 

*2) Eyes and ears that are connected to the Heart*

We talk about sight which is found in the eyes. 

There is deeper sight which is called *insight*. This insight will work only when our eye sight is directly connected to the *heart❤️*

Like wise we have the capacity to hear from our ears👂. But one can hear the cry of the pain, the pain of suffering, loneliness, sadness, defeat, humiliation, only when the ears are connected to the heart

What about my eyes and ears. Are they connected to the heart or disconnected from the heart. 

If they are disconnected, my sight will be very narrow and I may not hear anything from the other 

So we need to check these in our life 

*3) Do I consider that my eyes and hears are blessed?*

Only those who know the value of these senses will consider them blessed 

Secondly they become blessed only when their powers are used for something good and for the greater Glory of God 

We need to use our sight and insight to see the struggles of people, their misery, their failures, challenges, problems and to find our the sources to deal with these issues 

Like wise we need to use our ears to hear the sad cry and pain of another, to hear the good news and other greater things
