God has made us to get into the boat of our life, in order to cross to the other Side of our Life/Eternal life

Gospel Thoughts

*Ordinary Season : 18th Week - Tuesday*

*GOSPEL - Mt 14:22-36*

*First Reading - Nm 12:1-13*

*God has made us to get into the boat of our life, in order to cross to the other Side of our Life/Eternal life*

*Jesus made the disciples get into a boat and precede him to the other side of the sea*

*1) Disciples needed a boat to  cross to the other Side*

The disciples wanted to cross to the other side. Therefore Jesus made them to get into the boat, so that they could go to the other side

Here we see the need of a boat and also the need of crossing to the other side of the River

This also shows that the disciples can't stay in one place, but they need to move on. Moving on is a sign of growth

*2) It is Jesus who made them to get into boat*

It was not the initiative of the disciples, rather it is Jesus who made them to get into the boat and to cross the river

Jesus making them to getting into the boat has a deep meaning for our life.

*3) Life is Crossing from this side to the another side*

The purpose of our life is to cross the river of this world, and to reach to the other side

The other side is called Heaven, eternal life, life after death. Since this is the purpose of our life we need to cross the river of this world by all means

*4) It is God who has made us to get into the boat of our life*

All of us come to this world with a beautiful life, which is given by God. In other words we can say that, God has made us to get into the boat of our life, inorde to cross the river of this World

Since God is the author of life, he has put this life in to the boat of this body, which has to be sailed to the other side of the river

*5) Storms and waves in the River*

As the disciples proceeded with their journey, there were waves and storms in the river

So the journey became difficult and challenging. But they didn't quit

Even in the life's journey, there are storms, waves and challenges, which disturb the boat of our life. At times going forward becomes difficult. Some give up others struggle and reach the goal

*6) Jesus is always there in our journey*

As disciples were travelling, they were struggling with waves and storm.

But the moment when they cried out Jesus, He came to their rescue and they were saved

In our life's journey too there will be waves and storm. But we should not give up, because Jesus is always with us.

A simple cry to Jesus will change the situation of our life. He comes and saves us from all our challenges

Only with the help of Jesus, we can cross the boat of our life in the river of this world

*Think about it*
