*We are called to play the Role of John the Baptist*

*1) John the Baptist*

He came before Jesus to prepare the way for the Lord

He came and prepared the way for the Lord, by asking people to change their lives

He preached the message of conversion of heart and mind, and to change thier life. Accordingly, they changed their lives and waited for the Messiah

*2) Role of Role the Baptist*

The Gospel of the day, speaks about the Role of John the Baptist

First of all he know who Jesus was.

Secondly, he introduces Jesus to his two disciples

He says *“Behold, the Lamb of God.”*

With these words, John gives the right knowledge about Jesus to his disciples

John also encourages His disciples to follow Jesus

*3) Duel Role we need to play*

First of all we need to speak about Jesus. Inoder to speak about Jesus, we should know about him. John knew who Jesus was, and he could say about Jesus as the Lamb of God

Secondly, We have a duty to inspire and encourage others to follow Jesus. John did the sane thing. As a faithful disciples of Jesus we have the responsibility towards this task

*4) Why Jesus is the Lamb of God?*

First of all lamb is a very innocent animal. Jesus has this quality of innocence in his life

Secondly, lamb is a sacrificial animal. Jesus became a sacrificial person, on the Cross, for the salvation of entire humanity

Thirdly, the lamb is a simple animal which does not take revenge. Jesus has no revenge but only love

Fourthly, lamb always obeys its master. Jesus obeyed His heavenly Father from manger to the Cross

*5) Where can I become John the Baptist?*

First of all in my family, towards my family members

Secondly in my Neighborhood and to my friends

Thirdly in the society, where I live and have my being

Am I ready to become John the Baptist, while carrying out my responsibility?

*Think about it*

*God bless you and your family. Praying for you and your dear ones*
