*Temple with costly stones and votive offerings Vs Temple with Eternal Values*

*1) Gospel on Temple*

The Gospel of the day speaks about the temple 

This temple is the temple of Jerusalem, which was considered by Jews as their identity 

The Jews believed that as long as the temple existed, the presence of God is felt among them 

People spoke highly about this temple which was adorned with costly stones and votive offerings

*2) The destruction of the Temple*

Jesus foretells the destruction of such a grand and powerful temple of Jerusalem 

Accordingly the temple was destroyed by the Romans in the year 70 AD

Even today the temple is not rebuilt. 

This is the situation of this temple

*3) Eternal Temple*

The temple where the Holy Spirit dwells could be considered as the Eternal Temple 

St Paul says *Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit,* 1 Cor 6:19

So our life is the living temple of the Living God, which has a Eternal Values 

*4) Eternal Temple with costly stones and votive offerings*

Eternal temple should be adorned with costly stones and votive offerings,

These costly stones and votive offerings could be the following 

Build your temple of life  with forgiveness

Build your temple of life with Love 

Build your temple of life with sacrifice

Build your temple of life with generosity

Build your temple of life with service

Build your temple with Truth 

Build your temple of life with Humility

Build your temple of life with sincerity

Build your temple of life with faithfulness

Build your temple of life with gratitude

Build your temple of life  with the spirit of prayer 

Build your temple of life with hard work 

Build your temple of life with patience

These are costly things. Only few find in their life 

*5) Need of Beautifying the Temple*

There is a great need of beautifying the temple of life every day 

The process of beautifying the temple of our life, is a continuous process 

The more we beautifying the temple of life with Gospel values, which are the strong stones of the temple of our life, more will be the worth of our life 

*6) Which Temple is important for me?*

The temple which is built with the stones must help us to beautify the temple of our life 

The purpose of the earthly temple is to beautify the temple of our life 

Today it appears that many are busy with beautifying the external temple which is made out of perishable things at the cost of the temple of our life 

Only beautifying the temple has no use, if it does not help the person to beautify the temple of his life 

How is the temple of my life? 

How beautiful it is?

Has it become ugly?
