*The Attitude of service of Mary*

*1) Mary and Service*

Mary's attitude of service toward Elizabeth, as described in Luke 1:39-56, reflects humility, love, obedience, and faith.

Her example is an inspiration to all of us as regards how believers should approach serving others.

*2) Humility in Service*

Despite her unique calling as the mother of the Messiah, Mary willingly travels to serve Elizabeth, who is elderly and pregnant.

This shows her humility and willingness to prioritize others' needs over her own.

*3) Readiness to Serve*

Mary *went with haste* to visit Elizabeth (Luke 1:39) shows her eagerness and diligence in serving.

She didn’t delay but responded quickly to the prompting of the Spirit.

Like Mary we are called to act promptly in love and service, as emphasized in Galatians 5:13, *Through love, serve one another.*

*4) Joyful Service*

Mary's visit was not just practical but also deeply spiritual.

Her arrival brings joy to Elizabeth and causes John to leap in the womb.

Mary’s service is marked by a joyful and uplifting presence.

Service which is rooted in joy and love,  brings blessings to others.

*5) Encouragement Through Service*

Mary’s visit strengthens Elizabeth, who is filled with the Holy Spirit.

Her visit to Elizabeth demonstrates how service can inspire and affirm others in their walk with God.

*6) Sacrificial Love*

Mary's visit and service to Elizabeth is nothing but the reflection of her sacrificial Love towards Elizabeth and others

Mary’s willingness to travel a long distance while pregnant highlights her selflessness.

She puts Elizabeth's needs before her own, which highlights her sacrificial love.

*7) God-Centered Perspective*

Mary's service to Elizabeth can be seen as a act of worship

Magnificat is nothing but her gratitude to God. She is also grateful for the opportunity to serve Elizabeth

In her service God's will is seen, God's greatness is seen and loving obedience to the will of God is very much highlighted

Mary's attitude of service toward Elizabeth is a model of humility, joy, faith, and love. Her actions remind believers that serving others is an integral part of living out faith, glorifying God, and strengthening His people.
