Mary is Worlds First Love - Why?

1) Mary is a World's First Love

*The World's First Love* is a book written by Arch Bishop Fulton J. Sheen

A simple question to ponder on the title itself : Why Mary is World's first Love?

Is it because there wasn’t Love is the world at all?

Is it because with the Birth of Mary the concept of Love begins in the World

2) Greek Understanding of the Word Love

In the Love there are different forms are found

*Eros* : Sexual or Sensual love

*Filial Love* – A deep friendship Affectionate love

*Storge* : familiar Love - parents and Children

*Pragma* – Enduring love – with age - it is beyond physical love and matured and
developed over a time

*Agape* – Selfless Love – unconditional love

This agapeic form of Love can be found only in Mary for the first time among the Human Beings

There has never been a person who was able to practice this form of Love – Agapeic
Love as she practiced.

That is why she is the World’s First Love

3) She is the blend of Ideal and real, paragon of all virtues

Archbishop Says, *"There is, actually, only one person in all the humanity of whom God had one picture and whom there is a perfect conformity between what he wanted her to
be and what she is and that is his own Mother"*

Every being has these two aspects - the ideal and real

When it comes to our life the real is far the the idea

About Mary God had only one picture  forb the Ideal and the Real

There was a Perfect conformity between what she would be and what she is

There is no difference between what she will be and what she is now

All of us are minus sign – in the sense that we do not fulfil the high hopes the heavenly
Father has for us

*Mary is the equal sign*

The ideal that God had for her and what she is and in the flesh is perfect

The model and the copy are perfect

She is all that was foreseen, planned and dreamed

The melody of her life was played, just as it was written

Mary was thought, conceived, and planned as equal sign between ideal and
History, thought and reality, hope and realization

*That is why she is the world’s first Love*

4) Mary was born without a sin

Unlike any other human being Mary was born without having any stain of Sin

The doctrine of the  immaculate conception of Mary clearly tell us that she was born without a son

Such a purity of life is equal to the genuine form of Love

That's why she is *The World's First Love*

5) Mary is God's favoured one

*The angel went to her and said, "Greetings, you who are highly favored!* Luke 1:28

Mary is the most favoured by God for her simplicity, humility and for her commitment.

That's why she is World's First Love

6) Full of God's Grace

In the prayer *Hail Mary* we say

*Hail Mary full of Grace, the Lord is with You, Blessed are u among women and blessed is thy womb*

It is only about Mary that it was said

*Full of Grace*

*Lord is with you*

*Blessed among all women*

*Blessed also is the Womb*

*That's why Mary is World's First Love*

7) Mary is the Mother of God

She is God's Mother, therefore she is *The World's First Love*

8) Mary at the foot of the Cross

To stand at the foot of the Cross, witnessing the reality of the death of Jesus on the Cross, needed a extraordinary courage

Mary had that courage. She did not run away from the situation. She faced all the challenges without even grumbling or finding fault with any one.

That is why Mary is *The World's First Love*

Like Mary will I be able to become the symbol of LOVE

Is my life a symbol of Love?

*Happy Feast of the Nativity of Bless Virgin Mary*

*May our Blessed Mother protect us always*

God bless you and your family. Praying for you and your dear ones
