31st Week : Tuesday
GOSPEL Lk 14 :15-24
First Reading - Phil 2:5-11
*The Various invitations of the Master in my day today life*
*1) The master well in advance invites His guests for the dinner*
Master makes a good plan and preparation to host a dinner to His guests
Therefore He dispatches the invitations well in advance and requests them to attend for the dinner
Here we see the preparedness and the generosity of the Master to host a dinner to His guests.
*2) Jesus our Master invites us daily in various ways*
*A) Each new day is a invitation*
The gift of each new day is a great invitation from the Lord to praise Him, to realise His greatness and to thank Him for His mighty deeds in our lives. Do I accept this invitation from the Lord?
*B) The Power of our Senses*
As soon as we get up all our senses are able to work perfectly. Eyes, nose, ears, mouth, and sensation works perfectly. It is a wonderful miracle of God. Through these wonderful powers God is inviting us to
*See the beauty of the nature and another person*
*To speak good about others and to proclaim the good news*
*To listen His words and to meditate on them for greater enlightenment*
*To enjoy the sweet fragrance of the goodness and greatness of the Lord and also the greatness of our fellow being*
*To experience the living touch of the Lord to have deeper experience of the Lord.*
Do I consider that these are the great invitations from the Lord in my day today life?
*C) Days every activity and opportunity is an open invitation from the Lord*
There are number of opportunities and activities we do each day. Am I able to consider these things cones into our life as if they are the great invitation from the Lord. Following are some of the examples
Invitation to Pray
Invitation to Help in the family
Invitation to see the goodness
Invitation to speak well about others
Invitation to forgive others
Invitation to do some voluntary service
Invitation to avoid the situations of sin
Invitation to avoid gettin angry for simple things
Invitation to live a simple yet good life
Invitation to practice and teach values
Invitation to live a exemplary life
Like this there are many more invitations which come every moment of our life
Do I accept these invitations or ignore them because I am busy in many things?
*3) Those who excused themselves from the invitation lost everything*
Since they didn't respond to the invitation of the master they not only lost that perticular opportunity, but even in the future they will lose all the opportunities from the master.
Once lost is lost forever. So one should be very careful.
*4) What is my response to the invitation?*
Am I too busy in so many things that I feel to be excused from doing all the things which the Lord invites me to do in my daily life?
Am I making use of the invitation from the Lord to prepare myself to take part in the great dinner of the Lord
Am I doing all the things which I am suppose to do to qualify myself for the great dinner of the Lord
At the end of the day of my life will I get a chance to dine with the Lord?
*Think about it*
*God bless you and your family. Praying for you and your dear ones*
