Gospel Thoughts
*Ordinary Season : 17th Week - Sunday*
*GOSPEL - Jn 6:1-15*
*First Reading - 2 Kgs 4:42-44*
*SECOND READING - Eph 4:1-6*
*Miracles happen when we give whatever we have in our life*
*1) Miracle of Feeding 5000*
The Gospel of the day, enumerates the miracle of feeding of the 5000
One may have different explanation and convincing arguments, as to how the miracle took place
When we see the miracle from different angles, we get new ideas and inspiration, about the miracle itself
So here is one such arguments for the same
*2) Boys willingness to give*
In the entire episode there comes a boy. Some times we hardly notice this boy.
But from the perspective of the miracle this boys role becomes very important
Since the boy gave whatever he had, it became a starting point for the miracle to happen
So boys role and willingness to share the things has deeper role in it
*3) 5 loaves and Two Fish*
The little boy had only this much. But he gave whatever he had, willingly and happily
But this 5 loaves and Two fish had tremendous capacity to feed 5000 only men excluding the women and children
Even the things get so much of power, when they are given freely and for a great purpose.
So this is the power of Giving
*4) What do I have in my Life?*
Like that little boy we need to search about the things which have in my life
It is not enough to have things, but should have a willingness to share with others. Only then miracles happen
So the question, what do I have in my life?
Need to reflect about it
*5) The possible things I need to have in my life?*
A generous heart
A forgiving heart
A sacrificing heart
A loving, serving and caring heart
A hardworking attitude
A genuine approach
When we have these above things and when we are ready to share these things with others, great miracles happen in ou life
*6) Boys name is not given*
Since boys name is not given, any one can place himself/herself in the place of boy and need to reflect what type of attitude I will manifest
Secondly, it is to show that, nothing should be done for the sake of mere name and fame
Thirdly, without name also person can be remembered, for his/her good works
So good work does not need the persons name, it can go around the world without the name and can make a great impression
*Think about it*
*God bless you and your family. Praying for you and your dear ones*
