Gospel Thoughts
*Ordinary Season : 14th Week - Tuesday*
*GOSPEL - Mt 9:32-38*
*First Reading - Gn 32:23-33*
*Muteness is one of the faces of Demon/Devil/Sin*
*1) A mute Demonic was brought to Jesus*
The person who was brought to Jesus was unable to speak, because of the demon
The demon who took the possession of his life, made him unable to speak
Once a person becomes speechless, he becomes helpless, he becomes a slave and need to act according to the orders of Devil.
The person who loses the speech, unable to communicate anything. So demon makes the communication impossible
*2) He Spoke when demon was driven out*
When the man was freed from the influence of the demon, he spoke he communicated and he was joyful
He might have thanked Jesus, praised God and all those who are around him
Since he spoke the entire crowd was cheered with Joy and they were amazed
So lots of changes took place when demon was driven out
*3) Sin is a modern form of demon/devil*
This is very clear, that the sin takes the place of demon or devil in the present day context
Such a demon is affecting everyone and we need to be careful about it
In other words all of us are possessed with this Sin (demon), therefore we need to be brought to Jesus for healing
*4) Sin makes us speechless*
There are many sins which make us speechless
The sin of falsehood makes us speechless about Truth
The sin of arrogance makes us uuable to practice humility
The sin of revenge, makes us mute about forgiveness
The sin selfishness makes us mute about the service
The sin of division makes us mute about the unity
The sin of jealousy makes us mute about the goodness of other person
The sin of gossip makes us mute about the good reputation about others
*5) Am I possessed with some form demons?*
What do I feel about it?
Do I agree with the above statement or not?
Only a perfectly pure person can say that he/she is free from any forms of demon
If so what are the demons that I carry in my life or allow the demon to take control of my life?
*Think about it*
*God bless you and your family. Praying for you and your dear ones*
