The Speciality and the Power of officials prayer :"My daughter has just died. But come, lay your hand on her, and she will live."

Gospel Thoughts

*Ordinary Season : 14th Week - Monday*

*GOSPEL - Mt 9:18-26*

*First Reading - Gn 28:10-22a*

*The Speciality and the Power of officials prayer :"My daughter has just died. But come, lay your hand on her, and she will live."*

*Is anything dead in me?*

*1) The death of the officials Daughter*

The officials daughter had already dead, when he came to meet Jesus

Even then he did not lose hope about the life of his daughter.

The expressed words by the official, shows that, before Jesus death is a not a big issue. So he asks Jesus to lay His hands on her dead daughter, so that she may come back to life

As he belived, Jesus was able to perform the great miracle, because of his faith in Jesus

*2) The deeper meaning for my Life*

The expression of the official *My daughter has just died. But come, lay your hand on her, and she will live.”* can be seen as an incident out side of me or an incident, which has direct reference to my life

As an out side incident, it happens to the official and his dead daughter. I only see the incident and admire it

Another way that is the direct way, which has some influence and a serious introspection about my own life

*3) The officials words and my life*

The officials words can be directly referred to our life

As such we can reflect the following issues with the words of the officials

Lord, the forgiveness in my life has just died, but you come and lay your hands on me, it will be restored

Like wise we can have the following things

Lord my patience has just died

Lord my generosity has just died

Lord my genuine and unconditional love has just died

Lord the aspects of sacrifice, service, selflessness, hard-work, sincerity, faithfulness, simplicity, truthfulness, have just life.

*But come, lay your hands on these aspects of my life, and they will be restored*

*How genuine and practical these words of the official in my life?*

*4) What all things have died in my life?*

As we reflect the above phrase, it is very important to realise the death of the kingdom values in some way or the other

At the point we need to beg the Lord, with deep faith,  Lord you come and lay your hands in me, so that the kingdom values may be restored in my life

What all things have died in my life?

At least try to find out few and pray for the restoration of the same

*Think about it*

*God bless you and your family. Praying for you and your dear ones*
