Gospel Thoughts
*Ordinary Season : 16th Week - Friday*
*GOSPEL - Mt 13:18-23*
*First Reading - Ex 20:1-17*
*Without Roots there is no shoot and Fruit in the plant*
*But he has no root and lasts only for a time*
*1) The Seed fell on the rocky Ground*
The seed which fell on the rocky ground, sprouted quickly, but dried within no time. It could not survive for long time
The main reason for the plant to die is the lack of roots.
Either the plants didn't have many roots or the roots could not survive on the rocky ground
In either case the plant will not survive
*2) The strength of the plant is found in the roots*
This is the known fact. The stronger the roots the healthier is the plant
The strong roots are the strength of the plant. If the roots are strong it can survive in any situations
So we know how the roots are very important to the plant
*3) Shoot and fruits have foundation in the roots*
Any plant if we see, ultimately, the shoot and the fruits depend on the roots
If there are no roots, no shoot and no fruit. This is the strength of the roots
By looking at the shoot and fruits, one can imagine the strength of the roots and the importance of it.
*4) Human life is like a plant*
Just a plant can't survive without the roots, human life also can't survive without roots
If the roots of our life are strong, then we can yeild much fruit in our life. If there are no roots, life will lose its meaning.
*5) Important roots of our life*
There are many roots, on which our life depends. Some of them could be understood in the following way
The roots of the family
The roots of the prayer
The roots of harwork
The roots of sacrifice
The roots of service
