Do I have any rock in my Life to strike?

*GOSPEL - Mt 16:13-23*

*First Reading - Nm 20:1-13*

*Do I have any rock in my Life to strike?*

*Moses struck the rock twice with his staff, and water gushed out in abundance for the people*

*1) Moses Struck the Rock twice*

During their journey into the Promised Land, they had to pass through the desert and other difficult places 

As a result, they didn't have enough food to eat, and water to drink 

Therefore they grumbled against Moses and Aaron. So Moses prayed to God, and God asked Him to strike the rock, which will result in producing the Water 

Finally Moses did as it was directed by God, and people got enough water to Drink. A great miracle, God worked in the Hands of Moses 

*2) When we pray to God, God answers us in the same way, as He answered to Moses*

We too face similar situations like that of Moses in our life 

In this situation we too go to God, to seek His guidance, to know about the future course of our action 

It is true that God answers us in the same way, as He answered to Moses 

God says *Take your staff and .....order the rock to yield its waters*

*3) What is the Staff refers in my Life*

Staff was a miracle stick in the hands to God, given by God/Blessed by God. 

Like Moses we have been given varieties of miracle staff by God our creator. 

The following things could be considered as the miracle staff/Stick in our life. 

My intelligence

My sesnses - All five Senses 

My physical strength 

My Education

My qualification

My work 

My capacity to think and reason out 

My life, gift of this life 

My Good health 

All these are God given miracle stick in our life 

*4) What represent Rock in our life*

Rock is something very strong, which is used for foundation and construction

The following things could be considered as the rock in my Life 

The Rock of My Faith Life 

The rock of All divine values, the basic goodness in man 

The Rock of Moral values - Kingdom values 

The Rock of Generosity, humility, simplicity, forgiveness, love, sacrifice, selflessness, availability, so on 

*5) The striking is very Important*

Moses' act of Striking results in Producing water and happening of the miracle 

Unless He strikes, no miracles will be possible

So to in our life, we need tk strike the various rock in our life 

Here striking means, living our life according to the Gospel values 

*6)Am I ready to Strike?*

No miracles unless on strike 

In order to strike the rock, I need to find out the Rock in my life 

So we need to find out what varieties rock  I have or posses 

Then its is easy strike, when and where it is necessary

*Think about it*
