The Lord Says, "See, I am coming to dwell among you" - What is my response?

Gospel Thoughts

*Ordinary Season : 25th Week - Saturday*

*GOSPEL - Lk 9:43b-45*

*First Reading -  Zec 2:5-9, 14-15a*

*The Lord Says, "See, I am coming to dwell among you" - What is my response?*

*1) Mother Mary's Response*

When the Angel Gabriel, came and communicated the message about the Lord's coming and dwelling in the life of Mary - She responded to the invitation of God

She Said I am the handmaid of the Lord, be it done unto me according to your Word

That's why God became man and dwelt first in the Womb of Mary and then among us

*2) The same God is coming today to dwell among us - what is my response?*

The first reading of Today from the book of Zechariah tells us clearly that *See, I am coming to dwell among you*

So how do I respond to this call in my life?

How does my Lord comes into my life?

Unless we know how does he comes we can't welcome Him.

So how does he comes in my life?

*3) Some of the examples to reflect*

In the Life of Mother Theresa the Lord came in the form of destitutes and lepers. Mother Theresa accepted Jesus in her life

In the St Francis of Assisi the Lord came in the form of poor beggar. Francis was able to recognise the Lord and he accepted the Lord

In the Life of Ignatius of Loyola, the Lord came in the Form of needy person who needed a soldier to take care of him, to educate him and finally to liberate him from his slavery. That's why Ignatius became the powerful soldier of Christ

In the Life of Fr Stan Swamy, the Lord came in the form a person, who was denied Justice, whose belongings were taken unjustly and whose fundamental rights were exploited. Fr Stan Swamy accepted this call and welcomed Jesus in his life and gave his life for the sake of Jesus

*4) How does My Lord comes in my life?*

Today the Lord will not come in a magistic way. He comes comes in the form of a needy person

Today the Lord comes in the form of a poor person, exploited person, sick person, desperate person, physically handicapped person, a suffering person, a person who desperately looking for some food to eat, some place to rest,

These are the various forms through which the Lord wants to  come to my life. What is my response?

*5) Some of the things which prove that the Lord dwells in me*

Forgiveness is one form of the Lord, through which the Lord dwells in me.

Other forms through which the Lord dwells in me are the following

Generosity
Smile
Care and concern
Humility
Service, sacrifice and sharing
Helping nature
Supporting others

All the evil things which at times people practice in their life show that the Lord does not dwell in them

What about my life? To which category do I belong?

*Think about it*

*God bless you and your family. Praying for you and your dear ones*
