Do You see anything?

Gospel Thoughts

*Ordinary Season : C Cycle : 6th Week - Wednesday*

*GOSPEL -  Mk 8:22-26*

*FIRST READING - Jas 1:19-27*

*Do You see anything?*

*1) A relevant Question*

The Gospel of the day has this beautiful question *Do You see anything?*

Primarily Jesus asks this question to the blind man who was brought to Jesus for healing

Even then, this question is very relevant to us, and we need to ask ourselves about *Do I see anything in my Life?*

*2)I see people looking like trees and walking.*

The above statement of the blind person shows us that he is not able to see properly.

He saw people like trees, which proves that, the sight of the blind man is not right

He had some defect in his sight and seeing people like trees also shows that he can't see properly.

*3) How is my sight?*

At the first stage the blind man could not see anything

At the second stage, he saw people like trees

At the final stage he could see properly

So where do I belong? Fully blind,? Able to have only a partial vision? or am I able to see properly??

*4) What about my Spiritual sight?*

Apart from the physical sight there is also spiritual sight

Do I see anything through my spiritual sight?

Or do I see only partial reality?

How perfect my spiritual sight is?

*5) Am I able to see the following things?*

The importance and value of forgiveness

The power of the Sentence  *I am sorry*

The danger of gossip and lose talk

The value of sacrifice, hard work, humility, generosity, love, sincerity, smile, faithfulness, service, etc

If I am able to see the value in above things, it is clear that my sight is perfect

*6) How to improve my sight?*

The blind man was brought to Jesus for sight

Jesus touched, and gave the sight to the blind man in stages by stages.

The touch of Jesus improves the sight of the blind man.

How is my sight?

Am I willing to come to Jesus?

Am I willing to allow myself to be touched by Jesus?

Only Jesus can increase our sight

*Think about it*
