As a Christian, to whom shall I Go?

Gospel Thoughts

*Easter Season : Third Week - Saturday*

*As a Christian, to whom shall I Go?*

*Simon Peter answered him, “Master, to whom shall we go?*

*GOSPEL - Jn 6:60-69*

*FIRST READING - Acts 9:31-42*

*1) The background of this Question*

This question was raised by Peter and answered by Peter

Before this question there two other questions, which we see in today's Gospel

When Jesus said that one eats his flesh and drinks his blood will have eternal life. To this statement of Jesus people expressed their opinion in this way *“This saying is hard; who can accept it?”*

Secondly when many people left Jesus thinking that the teachings of Jesus is impossible to follow Jesus asked his disciples the following question *“Do you also want to leave?”*

To this question Peter  answers in a question answer Format

*2) Master, to whom shall we go?*

To this question question, Peter Himself answers a meaningful way. He says the following things

Jesus, You have the words of eternal life

Jesus, You are the Master and the Lord

Jesus, we are convinced that You are the Holy One

So, Jesus we come to you, we remain with you and we don't want to leave you.

So this what is expressed by Peter to the above question

*3) As a Christian where shall I go?*

It is very clear that, from the above question of Peter, we should also ask this question.

To Peter's question, Peter himself had a powerful answer. But what about me?

May be the following things could be considered as the answer to this question.

As a Christian I need to go to Jesus, because Jesus has the eternal life

As a Christian I need to go tk the word of God, because God's word is eternal

As a Christian I need to go to the church, because the presence of Jesus is found in the church and in Holy places

As a Christian I need to go to my own conscience, because it is the place of God, where I can experience God

As a Christian I need to go to my Family, where my neighbor lives. It is place to practice the commandment of Love

*4) Various ways of experiencing the Intimacy of the Lord*

In the answer of Peter, there was a deep relationship and intimacy between Jesus and His disciples.

If so what are the practical ways through which we can experience the intimacy of the Lord?

Forgiveness, generosity, sharing, service, love, sacrifice, trust, humility, caring, compassion.

Through these ways we experience the intimacy with the Lord

*5) Best Answer*

*Forgiveness,* to whom shall I go, you have the Words of eternal life

*Love* to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life.

*Humility* to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life.

*Service* to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life.

*Truth* to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life.

*Sacrifice* to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life.

*Compassion* to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life.

So finally as a Christian, to whom Shall I go?*

*Think about it*

*God bless you and your family. Praying for you and your dear ones*
