Like Jesus we too came down from Heaven, not to do our own Will

Gospel Thoughts

*Easter Season : Third Week - Wednesday*

*Like Jesus we too came down from Heaven, not to do our own Will*

*GOSPEL -  Jn 6:35-40*

*FIRST READING - Acts 8:1b-8*

*1) Jesus Came down from Heaven to do God's will*

There is no doubt that Jesus came down from heaven.

First He came down to the Womb of Mary and through Mary He came to this World

Once He came into the World he Did the Will of His Heavenly Father

*2) I have Come to do Thy Will*

Many times Jesus has told this and accordingly Jesus did the Will of His Father

Even at the Most crucial period, that is at Garden of Gethsemane, Jesus does the Will of His Father

*Luke 22:42, “Father, if you are willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine be done.”*

*3) We too Came down from heaven*

Life is a gift of God, and our Life has come from God.

It means we too have come from Heaven, like Jesus, since we have received our life from God

So our life has origin in God and that is why we have come from Heaven

*4) Like Jesus we are Supposed to do the Will of God*

It is not enough to say that we have come from God, but it is necessary to do the will of God, as a consequence of coming from God

Coming from God is our privilege but doing the will of God is our Duty

So every one has to do this duty, that is *doing the Will of God*

*5) Jesus has taught us to do the Will of God*

One of the famous prayers taught by Jesus *Our Father* has the reference to the Will of God

*Thy Kingdom come Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven*

If Jesus has taught us to do the will of God, we can imagine the importance of Doing the will of God

*6) Conflict between Gods will and My Will*

These are two different yet powerful things

Many of us suffer from *my will syndrome* in our life

We say God's will, but end up in doing our own wills

*God's will* never allows us to fall into temptation. But the moment we do our own will we fall into the Sin

The more we follow our own will the more we fall into temptation.

The more we follow God's will the more we become holy People.

*7) Whose will am I doing?*

Who dominates in my Life?

Is it my Will?

Is it God's will?

Is it the will of my superiors?

Is it will of some one powerful who controls me?

Whose will am I doing??

*Think about it*

*God bless you and your family. Praying for you and your dear ones*
