GOSPEL THOUGHTS
*Advent Season : 2nd Week : Tuesday*
*Gospel : Mt 18:12-14*
*First Reading : Is 40:1-11*
*The need of lowering the Mountains and Hills in our life*
*1) Mountains and Hills*
The first reading speaks about the mountains and hills
Mountains and Hills are huge things, which need special efforts to level them or bring them down
It takes long time to bring down the mountains and hills
*2) Mountains and Hills in our life*
Prophet Isaiah, takes the realities of mountains and hills and speaks about leveling them, because we have to prepare a way
When it comes to life, it is symbolic meaning which is very important.
So there are things which grow like mountains and hills, which become the hurdles for a straight path
So the need of leveling them is very much necessary in order to create a straight path
*3) Various realities, which take the place of mountains and hills in our life*
At time pride grows like a mountain and hill in our life
Arrogance, duplicity, hypocrisy, are other realities which grow like a mountain and Hill in our life
Anger, hatred, revenge, jealousy, gossip and the poisonous things which grown like a mountain and hill in our life
Division, false information, ignorance, lack of confidence are other things which also grow like a mountain and hills in our life
*4) Obstacles for Jesus' way*
We are preparing for Jesus' coming
Our preparation involves in leveling the mountains and hills in our life, in order to remove these obstacles, which block the way of Jesus in our life
So removing these mountains and hills will facilitie to create a wonderful road to our heart where Jesus will travel and take birth
*5) Leveling is a tedious work*
Leveling is not a easy work. It is very difficult mission but not impossible
Leveling these things happens only in and through the process, and the process is unending till the last moment of our life
So we need to strive hard to level these things
Am I ready to cooperate with this work??
*Think about it*
*God bless you and your family. Praying for you and your dear ones*
