GOSPEL THOUGHTS
*Holy Week : Easter Triduum: Holy Saturday*
*Gospel : Luke 24:1-12*
*First Reading : Rom 6:3-11*
*Return from the Tomb to proclaim the Risen Christ*
*1) Women at the Tomb*
Mary Magdalene, Joanna, Mary the mother of James and other women had gone to the tomb early Sunday Morning
On their arrival to the tomb, they see unusual things, which left them is dismay and surprise
The tomb was open and the body of Jesus was not found
Immediately two angels appeared and told about the reality of empty tomb and the resurrection of Jesus
*2) The Return of the Women from the Tomb*
When they received the news of the resurrection, they immediately returned from the tomb and met the disciples and proclaimed the Good news resurrection
The returning of the women from the tomb and proclaiming the good news has a close connect to our life and especially to our spiritual life
Unless we return from the tomb we can't proclaim the good news
*3) The significance of the Tomb*
Tomb is meant for burying the dead
Tomb has only the dead things, rotten things and foul smell
For many, tomb is a scary place and it creates a kind of despair, fear, anxiety and other negative feeling
The atmosphere of the tomb is not conducive to proclaim the good news
So returning from the tomb is very necessary to proclaim the good news
*4) The return from the tomb in our Life*
To proclaim the Good news of resurrection we need to return from the tomb even in our life
From the tomb of pride
From the tomb of laziness
T
From the tomb of anger
From the tomb of revenge
From the tomb of arrogance
From the tomb of ego and selfishness
From the tomb of gossip and sin
Unless we return from these tombs we can't effectively proclaim the good news of resurrection
*5) Am I ready to return from the Tomb?*
This returning demands a lot in our life
This returning is not very easy. Its very challenging and difficult but not impossible
But this returning will change our life and we will be able to proclaim the good news in an effective way
*Think about it*
*God bless you and your family. Praying for you and your dear ones*
