GOSPEL THOUGHTS
*Ordinary Season : 1st Week: Friday*
*Gospel : Mk 2:1-12*
*First Reading : 1 Sm 8:4-7, 10-22a*
*Child, Your Sins are forgiven: Have we ever realised the power of these words*
*1) Your Sins are Forgiven*
These beautiful words are found in today's Gospel
They are beautiful and powerful, simply because, no human being ever on this earth will be sad, or regret or will disappointed, when one hears these words either from God or from a anointed person
*2) No God has ever directly said, except Jesus*
No God has ever spoken Except Christian God, in the person of Jesus the above words
The paralytic is really a blessed person to hear these beautiful and consoling words, from Jesus, which brought about moral and physical healing
These words when it comes from God, can really change our destiny of life
*3) The Sacrament of Confession*
Even today we have ample opportunity to hear these words
The same Jesus speaks to us, through the Anointed priests, the above words
Every time, every confession, at any corner of the world, with any gravity of sins, ends with these beautiful words *Your sins are forgiven, go in peace*
*4) The eternal Reward depends on these words*
All of us believe in life after death, that is eternal life
The above words are like the door, for the eternal life. Unless one passes through this door, one can't enter into eternal life
So these words are very much linked with eternal life, and one is unable to unlink it
*5) "U" turn for Life*
These words give us the *U* turn for our life
The thief on the right side on the Cross, pleaded Jesus. Jesus simply said, *your sins are forgiven and today you will be with me in paradise*
Jesus saves the Woman who caught in adultery, and forgives her sins, which totally turns her life
The Samaritan women experiences the forgiveness of Jesus and changes her life
Mary Magdalene, experienced the forgiveness of Jesus at Simon the Pharisees house, and she became the best follower of Jesus
These words can bring *U* turn in our life
*6) If Your sins are not forgiven??*
Let's imagine the riverse position, where one experiences non forgiveness, what would be His/Her fate
*Your sins are not forgiven* Can He/She go in peace
Can he/She think of entering into eternal life?
It becomes a purposeless life, waste life and useless life
If this happens, we lose everything. In other words, anything may be very costly, becomes valueless and useless in life, since they can't take us into eternal life
*7) If one has not heard these words here ....*
If one fails to hear these words, while one is still alive, there is no guarantee that one will be able hear in the next life
The more we hear these words here, the more or in a powerful way we will hear these words there, which will take us into eternal life
Which would I prefer? To listen here, as a preparation for the next world?
Or would I wait for the end of life, and then get into trouble?
*8) Do I desire to hear these words very often?*
How happy I am to hear these words?
Have I understood the value and importance of these words in my life?
Confession is the best opportunity to hear these words
How blessed I am, if I am able to hear these words,at the last moment of my life?
*Think about it*
*God bless you and your family. Praying for you and your dear ones*
