GOSPEL THOUGHTS

*Ordinary Season  : 3rd Week: Monday*

*Gospel : Mk 3:22-30*

*First Reading : 2 Sm 5:1-7, 10*

*No one can enter a strong man’s house*

*1) We have been called to become Strong Persons*

The Gospel of the day highlights about the, strength of the person. 

The Gospel here refers to the spiritual strength of the person 

In fact we have been given a special grace in the sacrament of Baptism to become spiritually strong persons 

*2) The division by the Evil one*

Since the devil can't enter the strong house, it tries to divide the strength of the person 

As highlighted in today's Gospel, division caused by the evil one is the cause of downfall

Division ultimately weakens our strength and finally it destroys us 

One needs to be very careful about the division

*3) What makes us Strong?*

There are many things which make us spiritually strong

First of all the grace of God, through the sacrament, makes us very strong 

Secondly all the Gospel values, when we practice them we become strong persons 

The Gospe values like, humility, forgiveness, sacrifice, selflessness, service, love, prayer, sharing, concern for the needy, make us very strong persons in life 

*4) The possible evil which can divide our life*

The arrogance

Pride 

Ego, 

Selfishness

Jealousy

Revenge

Anger 

Greed 

Hatred 

All these evil things make us weak and finally they divide our life 

*5) How strong I am?*

How much us the spiritual strength of my life? 

Am I able to face the challenges of my life? 

Which are those things which divide my life? 

*If I am strong, no evil can enter into my life*

*Think about it*
