GOSPEL THOUGHTS
*Lenten Season : Fifth Week: Monday*
*Gospel : Jn 8:12-20*
*First Reading : Dn 13:1-9, 15-17, 19-30, 33-62 or 13:41c-62*
*From Where I come from, and Where I am going*
*1) Fundamental Question*
In philosophy these are called fundamental questions
No one can ignore these questions, because they define our life, our existence and purpose of life
At certain moment in life, every one asks these questions in order to reflect about ones own life
*2) Answers to these questions*
These questions are not very easy to answer
Even today no one can clearly answer these questions.
Therefore these questions belong to the group of mystery, which have no proper answer
*3) Jesus knew answers to these questions*
In the Gospel of the day, Jesus addresses these questions and he clearly tells us that *I know where I came from and where I am going.*
This is something spectacular about the life of Jesus
Clarity about these questions shows the purpose of ones life
*4) These Questions change our perspective*
This is the truth. The moment we ask these questions in a serious way about our own life, our perspective about life changes
Our attitude changes
Our rationale changes
Our approach to life changes
Our behavior changes
Our thinking pattern changes
Above all our life changes. So these are very powerful questions
*5) Knowledge about these questions*
The moment we know about Jesus automatically we get an answer to these questions
So answers to these questions depends on our understanding about Jesus
If we know from where Jesus has come, then we also know where we have come from
If we know where Jesus is going, then we also know where we are going
In and through Jesus we have an answer for every fundamental questions of our life
*6) What about my life?*
In and through Jesus we can boldly say that we have come from God
Jesus has gone to the Heavenly Father. So we also will go to heavenly Father
So we can say that we are going to the heavenly Father
Have I ever asked these questions about my own life?
What is my answer??
*Think about it*
*God bless you and your family. Praying for you and your dear ones*
