GOSPEL THOUGHTS
*Lenten Season : Easter Season: Wednesday*
*Gospel : Lk 24:13-35*
*First Reading : Acts 3:1-10*
*What are you discussing as you walk along?*
*1) The discussion of the disciples*
The disciples were on the way to Emmaus
As they were traveling, they were discussing about the events that took place in Jerusalem
These were the important events. The passion, crucifixion, death and burial of Jesus
The disciples were busy in discussing these things
*2) The main topic for Easter Season*
The passion, crucifixion, death, burial and resurrection were the main events for Easter Season
A disciple of Jesus must discuss these issues, in deeper level during this season
One can't bypass these events at any cost
*3) Important events are discussed*
Ordinary events are not discussed
Less important things usually are ignored
But some issues of greater importance are discussed at length to understand the logic of it
The very fact that disciples discussed these issues seems to be very important for the disciples
*4) Important topic for Discussion*
The events which happened in the life of Jesus are to be discussed not only during the season of Easter but all throughout year
Thses are the events which have divided the History into before Christ and After Christ
These are the issues which are discussed even today at all circles
These are the events which are discussed throughout the History
These events History can't forget or ignore
That's why they are discussed
*5) What are we discussing?*
We too discuss lots of things
Today the same Risen Lord asks each one of us this question *“What are you discussing as you walk along?”*
What is my answer?/
Am I discussing about the unwanted things?
Am I discussing about gossip?
Am I discussing about some ones faults and failures?
Am I discussing about the politics?
Am I discussing about how to become rich over night?
Am I discussing about increasing my business, through illigal means?
We are called by Jesus to discuss about the serious matters and to follow Him.
*Think about it*
*God bless you and your family. Praying for you and your dear ones*
