*The Taste of the New Wine*

*1) Old and New Wine*

In the Gospel of the day Jesus speaks about two types of wine 

New wine and the Old wine 

He also tells us that New wine needs new wineskins, to store it. 

So what is the significance of this New Wine? 

*2) The Meaning of New Wine*

New wine means, the new way of understanding the reality 

It is the new way of looking at the situations of Life 

It is a new way of adopting the daily affairs of our life 

It is correcting the old wrong ways and adopting the new correct ways 

*3) The samples of New Wine of Jesus*

Praying for the enemies

Doing good to those who do harm to us 

Walking two miles instead of one mile 

Showing the other cheek when one slaps to one cheek

Forgiving ones enemies 

Praying for the persecutors 

Searching for the one who is lost

Going in search of the lost one 

Sacrificing ones comforts for the betterment of others 

Doing good in spite of all challenges 

These are the some of the best examples of Jesus' New Wine 

*4) The Taste of the New Wine*

The new wine which Jesus offers definitely not very sweet 

Its like a medicine, which is not at all testy, but its effects are wonderful 

The New Wine is at time bitter, but one who is able to drink it, it works in a positive way

The sweetness of the wine is not felt at the beginning, but towards the end 

All that is sweet ultimately, creates problems. Its easy to take sweet things. But life becomes bitter in the later stage 

*5) New Wine Needs New Wine Skins*

Jesus very well knows that the new wine which Jesus offers to us, can't be filled in the our old wine skins 

All of us are like old wineskins which needs to be made new to fill the new wine 

*6) Repair of the old wineskins into New*

All those who follow Jesus and His teaching need to have new wine skins 

So the repair of the old wineskins are very much necessary 

We need to repair our old wine skins urgently in order to fill the new wine into renovated new wineskins

*7) What type of wineskin I have?*

The new wine is readily available 

But the question is, do I have the new wineskin to fill it? 

Is my wineskin, eligible to fill the new wine? 

Have I repaired my old wine skin? 

Have I given up the work of renovating the old wine skin? 

How is the condition of the wineskin of my Life?
