GOSPEL THOUGHTS
*Ordinary Season: Twenty Third Week : Thursday*
*Gospel : Lk 6:27-38*
*First Reading : 1 Cor 8:1b-7, 11-13*
*Responsorial Psalm : Ps 139:1b-3, 13-14ab, 23-24*
*Why we have to stop judging others?*
*1) The Process of Judgement*
Judgement is done in the Court
The so called judgement takes long time
The accused person is called to give reply to the accusations
The witnesses are called to ask their opinion about the crime
After the long procedure, finally the judge pronounces the judgment, after much deliberation
No judgment is given without any evidence or based on one persons opinion
This is the process of judgment
*2) The Way we judge others*
Ours is the quick and immediate judgement. We judge persons based on what is seen or heard at the peripheral level
Some times we don't even try to verify the information which we have, but simply judge based on information we have
At times our judgment is purely based on partial information. Judging a person of limited information may lead to serious problems
*3) Judgment belongs to God*
Since judgment needs a full and authentic information, one can't easily judge another person
Only God has complete and apt information. Therefore only God can judge a person correctly
God's judgments are always true and perfectly right
*4) If You judge where is the time for Love?*
Mother Teresa says *If you judge people, you have no time to love them*
In no way judgment helps a person in any way. But loving people can change them
*5) Effects of Judgment*
The ultimate result of judgement is pain and disunity
The relationship is broken, the minds and hearts are broken, sadness entres, revenge grows and leads to injustice
In one word the judgment leads negativity and destruction
*6) Stop Judging and Start loving*
The only remedy for bringing the unity is to stop judging others and love them
Passing Judgment is very harmful and painful. It creates discrimination and inequality
Judgment makes some one is right and other one is wrong
Judgment makes someone to win and someone to lose
Since judgment leads to all complications, it is better to stop judging others
*Stop judging others and love others*
*Think about it*
