Fact about the Life after death

GOSPEL THOUGHTS

*Ordinary Season: Thirty Third Week : *

*Gospel : Lk 20:27-40*

*First Reading : Rv 11:4-12*

*Responsorial Psalm : Ps 144:1, 2, 9-10*

*Fact about the Life after death*

*1) Guarantee about the Next Life*

One of the things which becomes very clear from today's passage is about life after death

Jesus himself affrims that there is life after death. So there is no question about the next life

*2) There is a judgment before passing to the next life*

This is also clear. In the Gospel Jesus says *those who are deemed worthy to attain to the coming age and to the resurrection of the dead*

This indicates that one has to prove himself/herself worthy to the next life

This process is called  judgment. So judgement is certain.

One has to prepare himself/herself for this judgment

*3) No longer death*

In the life after death, death does not exist. Only life exists, which has no end

So eternal life has no expiry date. It continues for ever

*4) All children of God*

In the next life our relationship with God is also highlighted in today's Gospel

God is our Father and we are His children. This is the relationship which continues after the death or in the new life

*5) They are like Angels*

This is what happens to our life after death

Angels are created by God, and they are at the service of God

We are called upon to become angels of God, to praise God

*6) Dead but alive*

There are few people whose names are mentioned

Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and Moses. All these great people in the sight of God

All of them have dead and God

But the Gospel makes a mention of these people who are still living with Jesus

So death is not and end but a bend which takes a person to next level of life

So life has no end. It continues

*Think about it*

*God bless you and your family. Praying for you and your dear ones*
