Majority, Minority and Every Individual

GOSPEL THOUGHTS

*Advent Season: Second Week : Tuesday*

*Gospel : Mt 18:12-14*

*First Reading : Is 40:1-11*

*Responsorial Psalm : Ps 96:1-2, 3 and 10ac, 11-12, 13*

*Majority, Minority and Every Individual*

*1) The Logic of Majority and Minority*

Today the world is ruled after these principles

In some places it is the majority which decides everything

In some other places it is the minority decides everything for everyone

In the majority, minority is left out. In the minority the majority is left out

*2) The Logic of Every Individual*

In the God's logic, the concept of Majority and minority does not work

For God's Logic, the evey individual person is very important

In this logic no one is left out. Everyone is considered, valued and counted

This is the logic of God

*3) The Parable of the Lost Sheep*

The parable of the lost sheep speaks about one sheep which went away from the crowd

This little sheep is spoken about in the Gospel, shows that God's logic works for evey individual person

In other words, every individual person is very important for God

*4) Inclusive and left out*

This parable shows that all the 100 sheeps belong to the shepherd

All 100 sheeps are very important and valuable to the Shepherd

When the shepherd goes in search of one lost sheep it shows the inclusive philosophy of God's logic

In God's philosophy there is no *left out* ones. All are included. All are protected by God

*5) Great Transformation*

When the lost individual is brought back, the individual comes back to the fold and there we see the great transformation

If the individual is left out, the group will never become complete

By giving importance to every individual, God wants to make the mankind complete and whole, which got divided, because of the sin of Adam

*6) We are all lost Sheep*

All of represent the lost sheep

In one way or the other we are lost from the crowd of Holiness

Jesus is in search of us. Every one is valuable to him

We need the loving touch of Jesus and the tender mercy of God

God is ever ready for this great mission. But the question is am I ready??

*Think about it*

*God bless you and your family. Praying for you and your dear ones*
