How long are you going to keep us in suspense?

Gospel Thoughts

*Easter Season : 4th Week - Tuesday*

*GOSPEL -  Jn 10:22-30*

*First Reading - Acts 11:19-26*

*How long are you going to keep us in suspense?*

*1) The suspense of COVID19*

The above question has become very relevant to us in the midst of COVID 19 crisis

All have only one question, how long this pandemic will continue

The suspense which revolves around Covid19 has puzzled every one since there is no clue whatsoever about this deadly disease.

So the question is how long? still keeps us in great suspense

*2)Jesus' answer to the Suspense*

The works I do in my Father’s name testify to me.

The suspense of Jesus can be understood by only those who are able to follow the logic of His work or the works which are done by Jesus in the name of God

The work of reconciling the human being to God

The work of healing the sick, helping the poor, supporting the weak, fighting for the truth and justice

The work of creating the awareness among the people about what is good and what is evil

The work of becoming the good Samaritan to the neighbour

The work of practicing the values like, humility, simplicity, truthfulness, faithfulness etc

The work of building the kingdom of God here on this earth

When one follows the logic and purpose of these works one is able to crack the suspense of how long

These works are nothing but the answers to their questions of suspense

*3) Covid19 and Suspense*

As it appears the suspense of covid19 seems to be very mysterious.

But when we apply the above logic one can definitely crack the suspense of the covid19

To the question of suspense of how long depends on the following things

The suspense will continue if we fail to wear the mask

The suspense will continue if we fail to maintain the social distance

The suspense will continue if we fail to wash our hands, and keep ourselves away from the virus

The suspense will continue if we fail to vaccinate ourselves

The suspense will continue, if we don't follow the instructions of the govt in conducting our scheduled programmes

The suspense will continue if we go out unnecessarily and allow ourselves to get infected with the virus

The suspense will continue if one comes to know that one is positive,  still fails to have self isolation

All these above things will aggravate the suspense of Covid19 and we will not get an answer to the question, how long?

*4) The following things are giving some answers to the Question how long?*

Today every one has become aware of the danger of this deadly virus. So all have become careful. This attitude will answer the question, how long this pandemic will last

Today the vaccine is already in effect. This invention also will answer to the suspense of how long?

Many of the doctors, nurses, and health workers are risking their lives to serve the wounded humanity. This collective work will answer to the suspense of how long?

When every one takes care of their own life and their own health, within no time the suspense of how long this pandemic is cracked and we can come to the normal life

*5) My life and the how long this suspense?*

All those who are infected will get an answer to the question how long, by isolating themselves and taking care of themselves

If I am enjoying good health, let's help another person by keeping social distance and wearing mask.

Let's all pray for all those who are really working to break the chain of this pandemic and to answer the question and suspense - How long

The question which comes in todays Gospel is very important, relevant, very existential and very urgent to reflect and to find answer to the present situation of pandemic

*Think about it*

*God bless you and your family. Praying for you and your dear ones*
