*Easter Season : 4th Week - Wednesday*

*GOSPEL -  Jn 12:44-50*

*First Reading - Acts 12:24-13:5a*

*I came into the world as light - What about me?*

*1) Jesus came into the world as Light*

The life of Jesus proves that, he came into the world as light 

Jesus Himself says, I am the light and light of the world. One who walks in this light will never stumble

Whoever walked in this light, were really saved and they saw the truth. 

*2)  Jesus not only as physical light but as Spiritual light*

When we talk about light, we think about the physical light which is necessary to take away the darkness in our surroundings

But more than this physical light, the inner light, the spiritual light or the light which enlightens our hearts and minds is more necessary

So Jesus came into world as light, to enlighten our hearts, minds and more of our life 

This second form of light is more important than the first 

So the light of Jesus enlightens our life fully into a new spiritual realm, for which he had come into this world. 

*3) The Speciality of the Light of Jesus*

The light of Jesus really made people to see what is good and what is evil 

The light of Jesus made them to see the greatness of the kingdom values like humility, forgiveness, Gods mercy and God compassion

The light of Jesus showed people what the depth of Gods love for human beings 

The light of Jesus showed people, who their real neighbour was?

The light of Jesus showed them how to forgive, how to share, how to love, how to humble oneself before God and how to live as a genuine human being 

The light of Jesus showed the right path to the holiness and to eternal life 

*4) God has sent me as light into this world*

Like Jesus all of us are sent into this world to become the light

That's why Jesus says *You are the light of the world*

Our primary mission is to become the light to the world and to another 

A disciple of Christ can't but shine as light in the world. Light is the external sign of a Christian

Is my life still shines as light in the world?

*5) Life as Darkness*

Our life becoming darkness to us and to others is the biggest tragedy of ones life 

When our life becomes a darkness instead of light, then our existence becomes useless and we become hurdles for Gods mission 

Pride, arrogance, revenge, pleasure, selfishness, laziness, gossip, makes our life as darkness instead of light 

If so what about my life? 

Is it still light or darkness?

*6) Our Baptism and the light of Christ*

On the day of our baptism the lit candle is given to us, lighted from the paschal candle which is the symbol of Christ

Paschal candle represents the light of Christ from whom we have received our light

This light is given to us to make our life as light, like Jesus 

So what about this light which I have received from Christ? Is it still burning or already has gone off?

Stive to make your life as light, which shows the way to another person 

A light which leads one from untruth to the truth and from darkness to light
