Gospel Thoughts
*Lenten Season : C Cycle : Third Week: Wednesday*
*GOSPEL - Mt 5:17-19*
*FIRST READING - Dt 4:1, 5-9*
*Take care and be earnestly on your guard*
*1) Two things are highlighted*
First of all the book of Deuteronomy, tells us that we need to take of some things
So it is very important to think and reflect what are the things, which we need to take care in our life
Secondly the book also says that we need to be earnestly on our guard
Once again we need to reflect on those things which are to be guarded in our life.
*2) Things to take care in our life*
First of all we need to take care of our faith, which is a greatest gift of God to us
Secondly we need to take care about our life, so that we can live a holy and good life
Apart from these we need to take care of our prayer life, duties and responsibilities, daily work and service
The kingdom values like, forgiveness, sincerity, truth, justice, humility, sacrifice, sincere love, generosity, care and concern. We need to take care of these values in our life.
*3) What are the Things we need to be earnestly on our Guard?*
We need to be earnestly on our guard, in order to be alert in our life
We need to be earnestly on our guard, so that the sin does not take possession of our life
We need to be earnestly on our guard against the following things
Satan
Pride,
Arrogance
Revenge
Laziness
Falsehood
Injustice
Violence
Making others victim
Desire for wordly things
Desire for power
Desire for money and wealth
Desire for sensual pleasure
*4) Lent is a time to take care and to be earnestly on our guard*
Lent gives us a special grace to take care of the good things and to be on our guard against evil things, which enter into our life to destroy our life
Lent, with its spirit and the other spiritual activities, gives us a way to, take care of the good things and to be on our guard, against evil things
How am l using this lent in my life??
What are the things I take care in my life?
What are the things about which I am earnestly on my guard??
*Think about it*
*God bless you and your family. Praying for you and your dear ones*
