My duties and Responsibilities as a Sheep

GOSPEL THOUGHTS

*Easter Season : Fourth Week :  Tuesday*

*Gospel : Jn 10:22-30*

*First Reading : Acts 11:19-26*

*My duties and Responsibilities as a Sheep*

*1) Sheep in Today's Gospel*

The word sheep is mentioned in today's Gospel many times

The sheep found  in different expression, find a different meaning and communicates a powerful message to all of us

*2) The Various expressions of sheep*

*My Sheep hear my voice* : This is one of the powerful expression to evaluate our duties and responsibilities towards the Shepherd.

If I am able to hear the voice of the Shepherd, I am sincere to my duties and responsibilities

*I know my Sheep* How will I be known to the Master or to the Shepherd

A sheep, which is very mild, obedient, sincere or a sheep which is arrogant, harsh, etc

*My sheep follow me* Do I follow my Master

As a sheep of Jesus the Good Shepherd, do in follow Him?. Am I able to hear His voice?

*I give them eternal life* This is the end result of my sincerity towards my shepherd.

If I am faithful to the duties and responsibilities, the Shepherd will reward me with eternal life

*They will never perish* as a faithful sheep of the master will live forever. There is no end for our life

*No one can take away from the fathers hand*

We are all in the fathers hand. As a faithful sheep, no one can or nothing can separate us from the love of Jesus

*You are not among my sheep.*

This also shows that all sheep is not found in sheepfold

As a sheep am I in the group of Jesus the Good Shepherd?

*3) What type of Sheep I am?*

A faithful sheep?
A sheep recognizing the voice of the shepherd?
A sincere Sheep?
A loving Sheep?
A sheep known by the Master?
A sheep loved by the master?
A sheep which is out from the sheepfold?

*Think about it*

*God bless you and your family. Praying for you and your dear ones*
