GOSPEL THOUGHTS
*Ordinary Season : 14th Week : Monday*
*Gospel : Mt 9:18-26*
*First Reading : Gn 28:10-22a*
*The need and Availability of Jesus*
*1) The need of the official*
In today's Gospel we come across an official, who is in search of Jesus
His daughter had died. So the official had approached Jesus, for some help
So the official was in need of Jesus in the context of his daughter's death
*2) The need of the Woman*
We also see a woman who also needed the divine assistance of Jesus, because she was suffering from hemorrhages for twelve years
She came behind of Jesus with the intention of touching Him and to get cured from her Sickness
*3) The need of the dead girl*
Even though the girl had died, she also needed the divine providence of Jesus in order to come back to life
With out Jesus it would not have been possible for the girl to come bk to life
*4) The availability of Jesus*
In the all above three instances, we see the availability of Jesus and His accompaniment with those who needed Him
Whatever may be the situation, Jesus was there along with them, in sharing their pain and suffering
The availability of Jesus makes a drastic change in the life of those people
*5) The Need of Jesus in my Life*
Only those who feel the need of Jesus, they come to Jesus
So it is very important to feel the need of Jesus in our life
The moment we feel the need, automatically we come to Jesus to experience his divine power
But the question is, do I feel the need of Jesus in my life. If at all I feel the need, when do I feel?
*6) Jesus is always available. Am I available for Jesus?*
Jesus is available always at any time.
When the official asked, Jesus was ready at that very moment. He didn't say, *I am busy, now not possible, come tomorrow, will see later* He never gave such lame excuses
But He was ever ready
Even today Jesus is ever ready to help me. He does not delay in helping his followes
But the biggest question is, am I available for Jesus?
Miracles happen only when I am available for Jesus
*Think about it*
*God bless you and your family. Praying for you and your dear ones*
