*New Year begins with Spectacular Things*

*1) New Year begins with Blessed Mother - Mary*

For us Christians, the New Year has a special significance, with the feast of Mary the Mother of God 

With this great feast starting the New Year is always something special and spectacular

Life begins from Our Mother. New Year begins with our Heavenly Mother.

Let's thank God for this great event 

*2) New Year Begins with Special Blessing*

The first reading of Today's liturgy from the book of Numbers speaks about the Great Blessing 

God is blessing all of us through the Priest Aron 

So after receiving this blessing we are suppose to become blessing 

*Our life should become a blessing*

We should become blessing to our family, to our neighbours, to the society and to everyone 

Becoming a blessing to others is one of the greatest things in life 

*Is my life a blessing?*

*Will it become a blessing in 2021?*

*3) New Year begins with a Search for the Divine*

We have a beautiful incident of Shepherds searching Jesus after they came to know about the birth of Jesus 

So New Year begins with the great search for the saviour in my life

So where shall I find Jesus in the New Year 2021? 

Will it be in my heart? 

Will it be in my House? 

Will it be in my neighborhood? 

Will it be in the needy, poor, marginalized, downtrodden, and in the lost and least ones? 

*Where will be my search for Jesus?* 

*4) New Year begins with Amazement and Surprise*

When the shepherds found out Jesus in the manger they were amazed and surprise

Amazement and suspense in life always makes us alert and active 

What type of amazement and suspense I look for? 

Is it about worldly things or about heavenly things?

*5) New Year begins with the Work of Heart*

*And Mary kept all these things, reflecting on them in her heart*

Mary is the great model to become the persons of heart than only of reason 

Jesus was a man of Heart, that is why Jesus had compassion, He was moved with pity and He called himself having a humble heart 

Mary kept everything in her heart and pondered over it to know the deeper meaning of it

Will I become a person of Heart? 

A person with heart is more valuable than anything in this world. 

*Am a person of Heart?*

*6) New Year Begins with Praising God*

*Shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all they had heard and seen*

How wonderful to start a New Year glorifying and praising God for everything

Praise and Glorify God for all you see the great wonders in your own life 

You are able to see, hear, experience, taste, smell, walk, think, reason out - is it not the great things in life? 

Apart from this there 101 great things in our lives which we have seen, and we need to glorify and thank God
