The need of Raising ones eyes in order to see the Needy

Gospel Thoughts

*Easter Season : Second Week - Friday*

*GOSPEL -  Jn 6:1-15*

*FIRST READING - Acts 5:34-42*

*The need of Raising ones eyes in order to see the Needy*

*1) Jesus raised His Eyes*

In today's Gospel we have this beautiful gesture of Jesus raising His eyes.

Because he raised His eyes He saw a big crowd, which was coming to Him

The crowd was coming to Him, to see the signs, to get some food, to be cured from their sickness and for other things

So in one word, all these people were needy for something

*2) Raising ones eyes helps to see the reality*

By raising ones eyes, vision becomes clear

When the vision is clear, one can see the reality in a better way

As Jesus saw a great crowd with various needs, by raising His eyes, we also will be able to see great realities by raising our eye sight.

*3) It is a noble gesture to raise ones eyes and see the reality*

Since by raising ones eyes one is able to see the greater realities, it could be considered as the noble gesture.

It is noble because, this gesture will help the person to know the reality as it is and also to help them in some way or the other

This gesture is noble because the purpose of this is to help someone and bring some light in their lives.

*4)  Am I ready to raise my Eyes?*

This readiness shows that I am ready to help others

This could mean that, I am help to understand the challenges and problems of others

This also shows that I am a person with heart and not so much of mind

Raising of ones eyes also a sign of Change in ones life and also change outside

*5) Need to raise our eyes to see who am I?*

One of the biggest challenges of life, is to know more and more about my own identity.

*Knowing Thyself* is a great venture and one needs to work every day.

I need to raise my eyes to see what is happening in my life, in my mind and in my heart.

If so am l ready to raise my eyes and eyesight????

*Think about it*
