Gospel Thoughts

*Easter Season : Second Week - Saturday*

*GOSPEL -  Jn 6:16-21*

*FIRST READING - Acts 6:1-7*

*The need of a boat to go to the other side of the Sea*

*1) The Crossing of the Sea*

The Gospel of the day has a beautiful scene of crossing the sea, in order to go the other side

This particular scene has a deep relevance to our spiritual as well as earthly life

*2) Crossing is an important thing*

In order to go to other side, one has to cross by all means

Life is a journey, travelling from this earthly sea to the heavenly abode.

To cross from earthly life to heavenly life, we need a boat. Without which one can't cross from this world to the heavenly kingdom.

*3)  Need of a boat*

As we see in the Gospel, that the need of a boat to cross to the other side, even in our life we need a boat to cross to the other side.

The following things could be considered as boat, to cross from this world to heavenly abode

The boat of Bible
The boat of Sacraments
The boat of Eucharist
The boat of Confession
The boat of love
The boat of humility
The boat of sincerity
The boat of service
The boat of sacrifice
The boat of Generosity
The boat of concern

All these boats will help us to cross from this earth to heavenly kingdom

*4) Am I preparing myself to cross to the other Side*

In our life, other side is a reality. All of us should cross to this side one day or the other

If that is the reality, what is my preparation?

How strong my boat is?

Whether it will survive in the sea, among the powerful Waves?

What can I do still more to prepare myself to cross to the other side??

*Think about it*

*God bless you and your family. Praying for you and your dear ones*
