GOSPEL THOUGHTS
*Advent Season : 3rd Week : New Liturgical Year : Saturday*
*Gospel : Lk 1:57-66*
*First Reading : Mal 3:1-4, 23-24*
*Importance of taking into heart the heard things*
*1) The Birth of John the Baptist*
The Gospel of the day speaks about the birth of John the Baptist
The miraculous birth of John was witnessed by many those who were around that place
People not only heard the message of the good news of his birth but also various other things which were difficult to image
They not only heard these things but took them to heart and praised God
*2) Importance of taking into heart*
It is very important that not only we hear the great things but need to take them into the heart
Something which goes to the heart has great value
Something which goes to the heart, reacts either in positive or negative way
Something which goes to the heart means which is affecting us in a very deep way
Something goes to the heart can't remain silent
*3) Mary took everything to her heart*
The Gospel says that Mary took everything to her heart
It means whatever the Angel told her, was very important for her
Since she took everything into her heart, she was able to know the importance of the plan salvation and she completely cooperated with the Lord
*4) Taking into heart brings about a conversion*
Something which is taken to the heart it works on the person
Finally it changes the person and brings about a great change
So it is very important that we take everything into our heart
*5) What do we hear*
From morning till evening we hear lots of things
All the Good things which we hear will produce a good effect in our life
All the bad things will affect us in a negative way. That why whatever we hear should also be careful so that we are protected from the evil things
*6) What is my inclination?*
Do I take into heart all the good things which I hear?
We hear so many times the words of Jesus. Do I take them to the heart?
What is my experience of taking the powerful words of Jesus into the heart?
*Think about it*
*God bless you and your family. Praying for you and your dear ones*
